The 6000 is an extra-light-series deep groove ball bearing with a 10 mm bore, a 26 mm outside diameter and a width of 8 mm. The 60 series is the slimmer choice for a given shaft: a smaller outside diameter and width than the 62, for machines where space and weight matter more than heavy loads.
Its bore code, 00, is one of four fixed exceptions to the usual rule: 00 is 10 mm, 01 is 12 mm, 02 is 15 mm and 03 is 17 mm. So a 6000 has a 10 mm bore. A full designation such as 6000-2RS-C3 means rubber seals on both sides and C3 clearance.
Sharing the same 10 mm bore are the 6200 (10 × 30 × 9 mm), the 6300 (10 × 35 × 11 mm), the 6800 (10 × 19 × 5 mm) and the 6900 (10 × 22 × 6 mm). They all fit a 10 mm shaft, but each needs a different housing, so check the outside diameter and width before you order.
Why 6000 prices vary
- Genuine or copy: fakes sell far below the real price and fail early. We sell only genuine bearings.
- Brand and origin: each maker, and each country of manufacture, is priced differently.
- Version: sealed, shielded, C3, stainless and low-noise versions cost more than the open bearing.
- Quantity: bulk and repeat orders are priced lower.
So we quote today’s price for each brand rather than list one number. Ask for the 6000 price on WhatsApp.

| Static load rating (C₀) | 1.96 kN |
| Reference speed | 67,000 r/min |
| Limiting speed | 40,000 r/min |

Other bearings for a 10 mm shaft
Same bore, different series: a bigger bearing carries more load but needs a bigger housing.
| Bearing | Size (mm) | Dynamic load C |
|---|---|---|
| 6900 | 10 × 22 × 6 | 2.7 kN |
| 6000 | 10 × 26 × 8 | 4.75 kN |
| 6200 | 10 × 30 × 9 | 5.4 kN |
| 6300 | 10 × 35 × 11 | 8.52 kN |
On a 10 mm shaft, the 6000 carries 76% more load than the slimmer 6900, and the 6200 carries 14% more than the 6000, in a housing 4 mm larger across.
6000 variants
Every 6000 has the same outside dimensions. What changes is how it is sealed, its internal clearance and its material:
- 6000 (open): no shields or seals. For gearboxes and machines where oil or grease reaches the bearing.
- 6000 ZZ / 2Z: metal shields on both sides, greased for life. For clean, fast-running motors and fans.
- 6000 2RS: rubber seals on both sides (DDU at NSK, LLU at NTN). Better against dust and moisture.
- 6000 C3: internal clearance greater than normal, combined with any of the above (e.g. 6000-2RS-C3). The usual choice for electric motors.
- S6000 / SS6000: stainless steel for wet or corrosive conditions, usually marked with an S or SS prefix (SKF uses W). Supplied on request.

Is your 6000 genuine?
Counterfeit bearings are sold in many sizes and brands, including the 6000. Check that the marking on the ring matches the box exactly, that the brand’s own suffix style is used, and be wary of prices far below the market. How to spot a fake bearing.

Questions
6000 bearing: frequently asked
What size is a 6000 bearing?
A 6000 measures 10 mm bore × 26 mm outside diameter × 8 mm width. The size is the same in every brand and seal type.
What is the SKF, FAG or NSK equivalent of 6000 2RS C3?
SKF writes it 6000-2RS1/C3 and NSK 6000DDUC3, NTN 6000LLUC3 and KOYO 6000-2RS C3. All are the same 10 × 26 × 8 mm size with rubber seals on both sides and C3 clearance.
Can I use a 6200 instead of a 6000?
Not without changing the housing. Both have a 10 mm bore, but the 6200 is 30 mm across and 9 mm wide, against 26 × 8 mm for the 6000.
What load can a 6000 bearing carry?
SKF rates the open 6000 at a dynamic load rating (C) of 4.75 kN and a static load rating (C0) of 1.96 kN, with a limiting speed of 40,000 r/min. Other brands publish similar figures. How much load it can carry in service also depends on speed, lubrication and the life you need.
